Government Ethics

• Rep. Bordsen’s belief in government that is open and accessible to all extends to her support of measures that would ensure the highest ethical standards for governmental employees.

• In 2006, she supported several proactive bills aimed at keeping government work as transparent as possible.  The bills strengthen ethical behavior in the legislative branch, the executive branch, campaign finance reporting, and lobbying.

• Additionally, last session, Rep. Bordsen sponsored a bill which is now law that requires lobbyists to honestly report any spending on legislators above $10.
