BORDSEN ADDRESSES PUBLIC RELEASE OF MINORS' INFORMATION
RALEIGH -
Rep. Alice Bordsen has stated her
intention to address the issue of the release of minors' information
in the 2008 Short Session of the N.C. General Assembly. When
the General Assembly reconvenes in May 2008, this will be one of
Bordsen's top priorities.

RALEIGH -
Rep. Alice Bordsen traveled to
Charleston, South Carolina this week to receive the N.C. Recreation
and Parks Association Distinguished Legislator Award. The
award was present at the Joint Conference of North Carolina and
South Carolina Recreation and Parks Association.

NEW NATIONAL REPORT SUPPORTS RAISING THE AGE FOR JUVENILES
RALEIGH -
Today, Rep. Alice Bordsen announced
legislation she has filed to raise the age at which teens are tried
and sentenced in adult court to age 18. Physicians, child
advocates and other supporters gathered to show their support of
this proposal.

GOV. EASLEY ANNOUNCES 60 JOBS IN ALAMANCE COUNTY
RALEIGH -
Gov. Mike Easley today announced that
Nypro Carolina will expand its plastics manufacturing operations in
Alamance County, creating 60 jobs and investing $6.5 million during
the next three years.

Rep. Alice Bordsen was named co-chair
of the Justice and Public Safety Appropriates Subcommittee yesterday
evening. Additionally, Bordsen was named Chair of the House
Committee on Juvenile Justice.

Rep. Alice Bordsen took the Oath of
Office today for her third term as a State Representative for North
Carolina. Bordsen serves House District 63, Alamance County.
January 24 marks the first date of the 2007 Legislative Session.
